Colon Cancer Screening
Colon Cancer Screening
Colon cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in Germany, with a significant number of new diagnoses each year. Many cases could be successfully treated through early detection, but symptoms often go unnoticed until advanced stages. LabDoc's "Early Detection of Colon Cancer Set" offers you a discrete, simple way to take important preventive measures – directly from home.
Why is our iFOBT test crucial?
Our immunological fecal occult blood test (iFOBT) is specifically designed to identify invisible blood in stool – a potential early warning sign of colon cancer. This test offers a valuable opportunity to detect changes early and determine the need for further examinations.
Easy handling for reliable results

What differentiates the LabDoc test procedure from rapid tests on the market?
Unlike many rapid tests designed for home use, LabDoc's testing procedure is distinguished by its execution in an accredited diagnostic laboratory. Our specialist expertise and the use of advanced analytical methods guarantee a high level of reliability and accuracy in the test results. While rapid tests can often only provide preliminary indications, our lab-based procedure allows for a comprehensive analysis of the stool sample. This ensures that abnormal results are precisely detected, which can be crucial for initiating further diagnostic or therapeutic steps.
What should I do if my test result is abnormal?
A conspicuous test result means that blood was detected in the stool. This requires further investigation to clarify the cause. Please consult your doctor with the test result; they will advise you and initiate further diagnostic steps if necessary.
Where can I find information about colon cancer and early detection?
For comprehensive information on colorectal cancer and early detection options, we recommend the following resources: Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft (German Cancer Society), Krebsinformationsdienst (Cancer Information Service), and Gastro-Liga e.V.. These provide current and well-founded information on the topic.
Is the test different from a general occult blood test?
Yes, our test is a specific immunological fecal occult blood test (iFOBT) that specifically detects human hemoglobin in stool. It offers high sensitivity for detecting colorectal cancer and its precursors and is easier to use compared to older methods.
Does the test kit replace a colonoscopy?
No, the test kit does not replace a colonoscopy. It serves as a simple and non-invasive means for regular at-home screenings. If the test result shows abnormalities or if symptoms are present, a colonoscopy is necessary for precise clarification. The test kit offers a practical option for early detection, but for a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, consulting a doctor is essential.
