Discreetly and quickly test for the most common sexually transmitted diseases from home. The Sensitive Set enables testing for the most important STI pathogens from urine, blood, and at two other collection sites, providing even greater certainty, even for asymptomatic infections. The STI Self-Collection Kit Sensitive from Labor Krone contains collection material for a urine sample and a small blood sample from the fingertip, as well as a rectal swab and an inner cheek swab. These samples are analyzed in our accredited diagnostic laboratory using PCR analysis or indirect detection via antibody testing, depending on the pathogen. You will receive the laboratory results within a few days. The use of the collection material is simple, intuitive, and safe. The accompanying instructions explain the individual steps in detail.

Test Activation and Lab Result

To activate your self-sampling kit, create a user account on the online portal https://www.selbstlabor.de. In your health area, you can activate your test kit there using the code included in the kit. Without test activation, the sample cannot be assigned to you. As soon as your lab result is available, you can retrieve it securely using another code included in the kit. The lab report contains your individual sample number, which allows us to uniquely identify your sample, your measured values, and a description of whether your measured value is within the reference range or whether a pathogen detection was negative or positive.

Implementation

    Choose the test that suits you from our range of accredited tests.

  • 2. Register Test

    Once you have received your self-collection kit, register your test using the included code in your health area at selbstlabor.de

  • 3. Test at home

    You can conveniently take the samples wherever you want.
    The sample is sent back to us in the enclosed transport container in the return envelope.

  • 4. Get results

    A few days later, you can securely access and download your lab result.

Wash your hands thoroughly with warm water, disinfect your middle or ring finger with the enclosed alcohol swab, and let it dry briefly. Remove the protective cap from the lancet, place it on the side of your fingertip, and press lightly – wipe away the first drop of blood, then apply subsequent drops to the marked circles on the dried blood spot card.

Collect your first-void urine (max. 5 seconds) in a clean, dry container and then use the enclosed pipette to extract some urine. Fill the sample tube by squeezing the pipette up to the marking in the viewing window (approximately in the middle), then seal it carefully and prepare it for shipping.

For the rectal swab, remove the swab from the packaging and hold it at the red mark, without touching or laying down the swab tip. Insert the swab about 2–3 cm deep into the anus, make 2–3 circular movements, and then slowly withdraw it. Then, place the swab tip down into the tube and break it off at the breakpoint by bending it against the edge; gently twist if necessary.

For the buccal swab, use the swab with the blue packaging and hold it at the red mark, without touching or putting down the swab tip. Take the swab into the mouth for sampling and gently rotate it a few times on the inside of the cheek. Then insert the swab into the tube with the tip facing down. To close, bend the swab 180° at the edge of the tube until it breaks off at the predetermined breaking point, turning it slightly if necessary.
